What’s new for 2026?
2026 sees the introduction of a brand-new entry platform, making the process quicker, smoother and more accessible than ever before. We have also revitalised our award categories to better reflect the scale and diversity of the UK retrofit movement today.
Designed with the Sector in Mind
Earlier this year, feedback was gathered from Retrofit Academy members on the future format of the Awards. The message was clear: the event should remain inclusive, informal, and accessible.
While a formal sit-down dinner was considered, it became evident that such a format could create barriers for smaller organisations and local authorities—stakeholders that play a vital role in delivering retrofit at scale. In response, the 2026 ceremony will continue as an informal drinks reception, hosted by a high-profile presenter. This ensures the event remains open and welcoming to all, while retaining the prestige and celebration of sector-leading achievement.
National Retrofit Conference & Expo (Co-located with Futurebuild)
The National Retrofit Conference & Expo has rapidly become the UK’s leading event for retrofit innovation and collaboration. Co-located with Futurebuild at London’s ExCeL, it unites industry leaders, policymakers, and solution providers to accelerate the decarbonisation of UK housing.
Following the resounding success of our inaugural Members’ Pavilion in 2025, we are excited to announce its return in 2026—bigger and better than ever. This expanded space offers an unparalleled platform for Retrofit Academy members to showcase their expertise, connect with key stakeholders, and drive meaningful change.
“Winning one of these awards will identify the best our industry has to offer. They recognise excellence across the twin challenges of increasing the quality and the scale of retrofit in the UK. They will identify the leading professionals making their mark in the PAS 2035 era and the projects that demonstrate that good practice and good value are not mutually exclusive.”
